We had our Recognition Day this morning and the graduation of Kindergarten in the afternoon. I am, well, reading a book at that time (Breaking Dawn) hopefully, I will be able to finish that this summer! haha! :)

Skywatch 16 - One Nice Cloudy Day

I was so delighted and awed one morning when I looked up in the sky and saw this wonderful creation of God. It's like a painting in reality. My co-teacher and I just stared dreamily at the clouds and she reminded and asked me, why not taking some pictures and yeah, I did! :)

The end of the class is coming not so far away. So, as a teacher, I am so busy. Yeah, the usual computation of grades, filling out cards, writing in their form 137 etc. But yeah, I still have the time for blogging. :)

Thank God, I am lucky this week for I got the chance to post for SWF! :)

25 Random Facts About Me

Okay, this tag is actually long overdued. I've been tagged by Dee, a blogger friend from Indonesia. Let's just say that I was quite busy and yeah, don't really know what to write in here. (LOLx) Well, maybe 25 is not enough to say all the things about me. As the writing goes, I will write it randomly. Whatever that just pop in my mind by this time. All I can assure you is that.. this is me. Maybe more.. but not less. :)

1. I am a Filipino.. a Filipina for that matter. I'm pure Caviteña by heart. My mother is from Leyte and my father is from Cavite. (Well, I never been to my mother's hometown.. though I wished I had)

2. I am a teacher. (You probably knew that already.)

3. I love to sing. (Actually, a lot of people told me that I can sing. Yeah, right! haha! Maybe, I can carry a tune but I'm not really that confident to sing infront of many people!)
4. I learned to ride a bike when I was already eighteen. Can consider a late bloomer actually. And can you imagine that I learned it alone and inside our house! You can imagine how crazy I was.. and yeah, I am! haha!
5. I'm an anime freak when I was a kid. And yeah, until now! such an oldies actually. I'm into dragon balls, ghost fighter, mask man, shaider, bio man (and many other japanese action series on that genre!)

6. I was a dancer when I was in elementary. Yeah, you read it right.. was. haha! I'm not into dancing! I mean, really!

7. I did enjoy my childhood. I played on the streets with my neighbors and cousins. From patintero to tumbang preso to taguan.. and many other games that they call it nowadays as palaro ng lahi or palarong pinoy. I did enjoy it!
8. I live with my relatives. It's not that we live in one house. Of course, I live with my parents but we also live with my relatives in just one compound. Can you imagine that all my neighbors are my relatives? haha! I guess, most of the Filipino families live this way.

9. I love poetry. Eversince high school, it was actually my frustration to write a poem. I never ever wrote a single one when I was in high school. But I got to wrote one when I was already eighteen.. (yeah, a milestone! haha!)

10. I am a bookworm. Can you imagine that I got frustrated when I got out of a bookstore with no good books on my hand? Yeah, I'm just so lucky that I still have a 20-20 vision.

11. I'm a frustrated writer. When I finally realized that I can write a poem, that's when I started to write a short story.. mostly in Tagalog. But I guess, I'm not good enough on that craft. Well, maybe I can.. maybe not.

12. I laugh so loud. It's kinda embarassing that I will just cover my mouth after I laugh because they will just look at me and we will just start laughing again. They said that I really have a strange laugh. harhar!

13. I don't know how to swim. Well, I'm not really sure about this one, though. If I survived, I can... but If I got drown, well, yeah, maybe I didn't know how. LOLx!

14. I dreamed a lot. I'm referring to dreams at night, I mean. Almost every night. I know that some people don't really dream. I'm okay with it as long as it's not nightmares! yeah, scary!

15. I loved/want to travel. I want to get out from the vicinity of Cavite! It's not that I don't like it in here.. of course, I love Cavite! but I just want to see other places.. maybe the farthest that I've gone through was in Nueva Ecija. :)

16. I love photography. I love taking pictures. I don't consider myself as a photographer.. just plain photo enthusiast. haha!

17. I'm such a quiet person. I can let time flies just by shutting my mouth.

18. I'm a loner. I don't mind being alone.

19. I love my friends. As for number 18: of course, it wouldn't hurt if I have company.. like my friends!

20. I am a frustrated Valedictorian (elementary). Let's just say that I got the first honors from grade one to grade five but in grade six. Well, that's life. I already moved on. I already faced that part of my life. And I realized that medals, awards or recognition are not the only things that matters in life! :)

21. I love music. I said earlier that I love to sing. Of course, I also loved music. Any genre!

22. I love my Nokia 7210 Supernova. It may not be the most expensive and the most updated cellphone around... but I loved it.. especially because of its camera and mp3! :)

23. I love blogging. I just couldn't thank myself more for having the courage to start a blog. Having to meet and gain new friends and just to be able to share what I love doing the most! :)
24. I'm a graduate of Philippine Normal University - Manila. I am just truly proud and bless that I am a PNUan. I must say that PNU changed my whole personality. From a scared little one.. it helped me to emerge from my shell and came out from my own little world. I just hope that the university will continue to relive its mission and vision for their dear students. :)

25. I am a Psych Major. Go PNU Psych! Viva Sikolohiya! :)

As you can see, this is an orchid. I took this shot while waiting for a jeepney on my way to school where I am teaching. I shot this early in the morning, the sun is not yet shining.. well, not much light is in here. And yeah, this is our place. We don't actually live in the town proper. :)

Skywatch 15 - Skies @ Clark Air Base

Here are some of the photos that I got from the 14th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark Airbase in Pampanga. I captured these photos before the hot air balloon events. So, these were just the sky and the kites. This event's theme was : "Weekend of Everything That Flies". So, there goes the kites! (aside from the hot air balloons, of course!)

I shot the first photo using my digital camera and the last two photos were from my cellphone camera. We had fun during the event and the trip in general. I am looking forward for the next stop. (hopefully somewhere in the north.. like Baguio?!)

More from the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

14th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

My College friends and I went to the 14th International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta last Sunday February 15 (which is actually the last day) in Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga. Actually one of my friends is from Pampanga and she'd been attending this annual event for three years now. We envied her so much when we saw her pictures in her friendster account! (LoLx!) That is why I am so happy when they (my College buddies) told me about it.

We actually went there in the afternoon. I attended the 7:30 AM mass first and then by 10:00, I'm on my way to Manila (LRT Central) to meet up with Jam and then we headed to Doroteo Jose Station wherein Apple was waiting us. There, we looked for the Terminal of Philippine Rabbit and we rode to the bus going to Dau. We stopped at the Shell Station and then we rode a jeepney to SM Clark (wherein we met up with Jeny and her family. We met up with Emghie at the event) and rode another jeep to Clark Freeport Zone!

Here are some of the photos that I've taken in the event. Most of it were from my cellphone camera (the only one from my digicam is the one on top). When I used my digicam, it was actually dark and I couldn't see the hot air balloon, so my cellphone came to the rescue! We loved the hot air balloon but they did not let it fly (they said the wind was too strong) We just satisfy ourselves with the lightning and the amazing colors and those huge balloons! :)

The event ended at 7:00 PM. But we waited for another hour waiting for a jeep headed to SM Clark and then to the Terminal in Dau wherein a lot of people were actually waiting for the bus off to Pasay (we didn't want to stand in the bus! Besides, the journey is too long and we were so tired). We waited until 9:00Pm and then Jeny decided to let us go to San Fernando wherein there's another terminal. So, there we finally had a seat. We reached Pasay @ past 11:00PM. My friend and I rode another bus off to Baclaran. She's going to Parañaque and me, ofcourse, in Cavite. Let's just say that I arrived in my house at around 1 AM. And yes, my class starts at 6:30 in themorning.

Skywatch 14 - Blue Skies

I just got home from work. Actually, my co-teachers and I had some bonding together. We usually do this every Friday just to relax and to lessen the tension of the past days. We had dinner together in a Tapsihan near EPZA and then we decided to have some Videoke time. But when we got in the mall, all the booths were reserved. (Such a shame! I'm so excited to sing! LOLx!) So, we just hang out in our town plaza instead. And these are the moments that made me smile. :)

Now, here's another reason to smile! It's Skywatch Friday again! That view was the same as my post last week. The only difference is that, I got these shots in the afternoon (about 1 or 2 pm) while the other one was a sunset. :)

Flower 101

I didn't know what get into me but I'm starting to make fond of taking pictures of flowers and the sky. Even one of my blogger friends asked me about it.. of course, because of Skywatch Friday but aside from that.. I simply loved it! Yeah, it's beginning to be an outlet. An outlet for what? Well, I'm just starting to unleash the weirdness side of me.. (hehe..) :)

This weekend, (yeah, Valentines Day!) my College friends and I planned to have a Pampanga getaway (woot! woo!) I hope I can capture some wonderful sceneries there and of course, our moments together. I'm so excited! Can't wait to go out from the vicinity of Cavite! (LOLx!)

These flowers are from my aunt's collection of flowering plants. I just stole a moment to capture this last Saturday.

I just remembered that my blogger friend Beth tagged me with this.. but I also realized that it was somewhat related to my former post, the tagged from Lyra. So I am only changing the title from Random/Weird Facts About Me to 6 Things People Don't Know About Me.. ang yes, a little editing on some parts.

6 Things People Don't Know About Me:

1. I am a public elementary school teacher for a couple of months now. (that's normal right? well, I am actually a psychology major. have a license in teaching high school student. while most of our classmates opted to work in the corporate world.. I was one of those few who chose to teach.)

2. I was once a Guidance Counselor for a year (i missed it! so much! That's the only time that I felt like I am actually using all the things that I've learned in the university. Well, I resigned. And applied for the public school. ) I was once a Parochial school teacher and yeah, a Religion teacher (feeling oh so Holy!) :)

3. I love japanese anime! And also Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese dramas! (lolz!)

4. I am now taking up my Masteral of Arts in Education majoring in Special Education (don't have any experience yet in teaching these special kids. though we will be having our practicum.. maybe and hopefully.. next year.)

5. like lyra, I like social networking sites too. I have friendster (very active), multiply (somewhat active), facebook (starting to be active), high-five (not active), tagged (not active), flickr (a little)etc etc. (even youtube! hehe!) (talking about addiction! lolz!)

6. I love Harry Potter! But I must say that I got hooked in the Twilight series already! (Yes, a certified addict!)

7. I'm beginning to love photography.. I guess I'm addicted to it already. :p (have to erase the last, it should only be 6 right! nevertheless, keep it! LOLx!))

Skywatch 13 - "Takipsilim"

I thought I wouldn't be able to post for this week's Skywatch Friday. Our internet connection was a little bit shaky since 2 o'clock in the afternoon (that's according to my brother) and then when I'm about to use the computer it was totally not connected! I just shut it (the computer) down and then after a couple of minutes, I turn it on again and finally, the connection is already working! :)

I took this shot while waiting for a jeepney from the school where I am currently teaching. I usually missed the sunset but for that day... I was lucky enough to caught a glimpse of it. And I just used my cellphone camera.

White Flower

As of this writing, my eyes are already beginning to give up (LOLx!) I've spent a couple of hours to upload those photos from my cellphone to mflicker.com then I have to save it again on my computer then upload it again on photobucket (to have my name printed on it) and then upload it back to flicker. And now, I picked one for my today's post. I know it's kinda blurred. But I still would like to share it to you. (hehe!) Actually, I took this shot in the school where I am teaching. One of my co-teachers saw me and ask my other co-teacher what I was doing. They thought I'm crazy! (hahaha!) Imagine, taking pictures of flowers and the sky! (It's not everyday that they see someone like me. (Lolz!)

Yeah, I don't have photoshop yet and I'm finding a hard time to look for a usb cable/cord for my cp. :)

SWF 12 - My Town

I just want to share with you our Municipal Hall. Although I wasn't born here.. I can still say that here is where my roots are. I've been living here all my life.. like the 26 years of my life here on earth. I know there are more beautiful and interesting places here in the Philippines but I must say that our town has its own unique beauty. And yes, I will not trade it for any other town!

I would like to give a minute of prayer for those who died in the explosion yesterday in a firecracker factory at Trece Martires City. May their soul be rest in peace.

"Kuliglig"

We call this machine as "Kubota" from the brand name of a tractor that used for cultivating the land. It is actually noisy and you can really hear it coming. It is also called as "Kuliglig" for the same reason. The brand name.

According to Wikipedia: A kuliglig is a vehicle composed of a two-wheeled trailer pulled by a two wheeled tractor similar to a rotary tiller. It is a multi-purpose diesel or gasoline engine, commonly used in the provinces of the Philippines. The kuliglig traces its etymology from the Filipino term kuliglig, meaning "cricket" which was adopted by one manufacturer as a brand. It is also a carabao replacement. It is a more handy tool for farming.

This used to be the machine that helped my father, who is a farmer, to cultivate the soil. Now, he no longer use it because he no longer plant rice. He got a new job and could no longer took care of the land. And yeah, he's not getting any younger to take the heavy work of planting and gathering of plants. I can still remember that my father had to stay there in the "ibayo" (the farm where my father plant rice is not really near our house, you have to cross a river to get there) late at night while he is making "patubig" (irrigation for the start of rice planting). My mother and I even went to the farm to brought merienda and lunch. I had to walk on "pilapils", and I had to endured the jumping frogs here and there (mind you, I have an enormous fear of frogs!) My cousins and I enjoy playing in our big playgrounds with fruit-bearing trees everywhere, like guava, sinigwelas, duhat and many others. We always had picnics in our "kubo" while fishing in the "quary" (we called it like that!) it is actually a big fish pond.

Today, I no longer hear the noise of the "kuliglig" nor experience the happy moments in the farm. I wish I can take back time where life is simple and children enjoy climbing on the trees while eating the fruits (just like we did) . :)

A Curious Passerby

It felt like a decade since I posted something here. Stagnation is all around the corner. Hmmm... before I think about that... here is my recent post!

I shot this photo while riding in a bus from school going back to Cavite. Imagine that! Luckily, there's no one beside me yet when I got my camera and clicked the shutter. Anyway, the picture shows a tank from the Philippine Marines or is it the Navy? (not sure though).

Honestly, the reason why I haven't post for a while was that.. I ran out of pictures to post and of course, topic to write... nothing really exciting or interesting is happening in my so-called life..


Yeah, I'm already a year older. (hehe..) I hope this year is going to be a lot better.. :)

Skywatch 11 - Green Green Grass

It had been another tough week for me.. well, I guess for us teachers (the school started again after the Christmas vacation and some of us are still in the holiday craze) and I must say... the pupils themselves.. mind you, last Monday, half of my class, were still "missing". They started coming back this Wednesday. Next week will be another "busy days" for us for they will be having their Third Periodical Exams. Yeah.. here it goes again. Getting busy with all those checking of test papers, computation of grades etc. After this, we have to go on with the review for the NAT or National Achievement Test for Grade 3 and Grade 6. Since, I'm handling Grade 3.. yeah, I guess I will be very busy. If I'm not mistaken, the NAT will be this month or come February.

Anyway, here is my post for this week's Skywatch Friday. I really got a hard time in finding a photo for my post today. I chose this photo to share a glimpse of my life in school. This is my co-teacher while having her PE class on the school ground.

New Year's Resolution Tag

Amy gave me this New Year's Resolution tag. I'm not really into this New Year's Resolution thingie but I want to give it a try. I'm not sure though if I can make all of these into action... but nevertheless, here it is.... :)

My New Year's Resolution:

12. Pray more. (Yeah, I do pray but I guess it's not enough. I have to talk to HIM more often and I want to do it like.. now. New Year's Resolution or not I will still do it. Yeah, and I think it's about time.)

11. Moving on. (Past is past. I have to stop whining and wallowing about everything in the past. I love them. Yes. and I miss them but it's all over now and I got a new work place now. It's good to remember them and I will always do. Regretting? Maybe. But there are things to be considered and I know the answer to that. Still, a big NO. )

10. Diet No More. (I hate that word! Err.. The more I think that I am into a diet the more I crave for food. So, I stopped saying that. And it worked for me. Well, I guess I have to do it over again. You see, the holidays.. gain a couple of pounds here! LOLx!)

9. Singleness 101. (Ok. I'm not really making myself pressured by the thing that I am the only one in my "high school barkada" who is single.. - don't have a husband yet and no boyfriend for that matter. That was before... but at the end of the year, I suddenly became aware that yeah, I am the only one.. and it hit me! So, now... I am telling myself to relax and just don't mind the "I am the only one single here" kind of drama. So what? yeah, right! )

8. Find Time to Smell the Flowers. (Just look at everything around you... not just yourself. I'm not self-centered or anything. I just want to be more socially aware now)

7. Fashion 101. (Well, I know I'm not a fashionable one. I might be caught up by Fashion Police and I don't care. Coz' I got a little help from my fashionista friend - Ms. Bird. So, this year I want to dressed up a little bit "cooler" than the previous year. Harhar!)

6. Read More Books. (Yeah, unleashing the nerdy side of me. LOLx. Need to read more and more books! Aside from my Harry Potter and Twilight collections, I mean. I want to explore more of the other books around here. Just to widened up my knowledge. Any suggestions?)

5. Focus. (I want to be more focus on what I really want in MY LIFE. Ok, I'm taking up my masters, so what now? Can I make it to the thesis stage? Can I outrun my practicum with flying colors? Or can I be able to handle these special kids? I really have no idea. I mean.. REALLY!)

4. Relax. (Ok. I know I've been worrying too much. About my practicum... my thesis.. school and everything. And I want to just sit back and relax for just a couple of minutes. Just thinking about NOTHING at all.)

3. Bring back my old self. (Yeah.. I kinda miss her. The good girl that I was. It's not that I am a bad girl now. It's just that I feel like I'm kinda bitchy sometimes and it felt bad. Ok. I wanna take out of my system the Suplada and Taray side of me.)

2. Talk more. (I just want to express more of myself through talking. I know I've always been a quiet type of girl - (since birth) . I am more of a listener - a good listener for that matter. And I don't really want to change who or what I am. I just want to develop myself more. Just to improve my personality. Guess, that would be fine.)

1. Find time to have some family bonding. (I know we are always together but do we really know each other? I mean, even if we are sitting just a few inches apart from each other, it still feels like we are in the different space or location. I just feel so distant. And it's kinda sad actually.. and I want to change that.. for the better if not for the best. so that would be my number one.)
