Tagaytay with my Clan

Last August 23, my relatives and I went to Tagaytay. Tagaytay City is still part of Cavite and it is known as the "summer capital" of the Philippines.. (before you react... LOL!) next to Baguio! We went to Tierra de Maria also known as Haven Of Meditation and Enrichment or HOME. It is the HOME of a majestic 50-foot image of Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth. Well, just to give you a little bit of information, I am actually afraid of big statues and you can understand the chills I felt when I saw the image of Mama Mary. But I faced my fears for the sake of having the courage to go inside the chapel and pray. After that, we went to Tagaytay Picnic Grove. The last time that I've been there was when I was 10 years old I think. The place has changed a lot and so do I. LOLx. There, you will be able to relax and enjoy the view of Taal Lake. I just didn't like it when we have to walked and climbed the stairs. I got so tired just thinking about how long does it takes to get to the top or to get a better view. My elder cousin also decided to went to mini zoo but I just stayed in the van. Only the kids went there. I just hope that we had more time for us to really explore Tagaytay which is just an hour drive from where we are in Cavite.
Here are some photos that I took from that trip. I got lazy from editing it on photobucket, so I only have five photos to share. :)

The view of Taal Lake and Taal Volcano in Batangas.

Skywatch Friday - Again

I really don't know what to say here. The words just couldn't flow out of my mind. My mind just froze in the midst of confusion and isolation. Several months without any entry is kinda frustrating and having the urge to post again is such a work for me. Just like what I said to Caren, my former pupil, maybe I need to be inspire again to continue blogging... so am I inspired again? Hmm... I'm not sure though.
But hey, I'm back! Well, for now. I can't promise to be here forever.. but I think a post every now and then is not so bad after all. :)
The photo above is so familiar to all the Gentriseños. Well, yeah, I got this shot at the back of our public market and the building at the right side is no other than the Convention Center. My co-teacher and I was walking along this road when I saw this mesmerizing view. I was awed by the beauty of the sunset and I was so glad that I have my digicam with me. I guess, this scene can give you a smile on your face after a long and tiring day. It worked for me. ^_^

You can also see a lot of these pictures here at Skywatch Friday.

Happy Skywatch Friday guys! Have a blessed weekend! ;)

Skywatch 22: Cagayan River

These photos are also from my stay in Isabela last April. I took these shots while riding on a boat. Imagine, they have to cross Cagayan River just to be able to go to the town proper. It was an experience actually. And an unforgettable one for that matter. :)
________________________________________________________
I know it's been a while, actually almost a month that I haven't been able to post anything here. Well, I've been kinda busy and honestly, I got tired of taking pictures and so, I ran out of photos to post for my blogs. I know that most of the bloggers, if not all, in one time or another have experienced this. The feeling of laziness and the urge to just quit altogether. Well, I've felt that. And also, my blog is actually experiencing some technical error, I thought it will just for a few days but still, I've experienced that everytime I logged in to blogger. Maybe I'll just make a new one but I know that my enthusiasm to post will not be as much as before.
This is my post for Skywatch Friday. Hope to post again next week. Hope to see you again guys. :)
Happy weekend! Happy Skywatching! :)

100th Post - Skywatch Friday 21: Missing Isabela

I am so happy to announce that it's my 100th post! Yipee!!! Atlast! haha! I can't believed that I've gone this far. Anyway, the school will soon be open. Actually, in just two days! And yes, I was assigned in the newly-open school in our district. Hope everything will turn out good come Monday. (sigh)

Anyway, here's my entry for this week's Skywatch Friday. It's a photo from my shots during my stay in Isabela. I just used my cellphone camera for this. Just click here to see more of these. :)

(photo: courtesy of Emghie)
Yep, that's us! Me and my College friends will hit the beach this Saturday night at Nasugbu, Batangas (I still don't know what resort would that be). Yeah, night swimming! Haha! Our last trip before the school starts this Monday. Hope we'll have a good time! :)

Happy Weekend everyone and Happy Skywatching! :)

Skywatch 20: Sunset Moments

That's my co-teacher My and her son Samuel.
It was a actually stolen shot and I like how a mother and son bonding can expressed through this photo.
I asked my co-teacher Yang to pose for this shot.
It was kinda funny because she doesn't like taking pictures! haha!

I took these shots at the seashore of Naic, Cavite. We actually went there to joined them in the celebration of their barrio fiesta. And since the sea is just a walk away from their home, we didn't hesitate to go there and even if we didn't swim, we just satisfy ourselves with the beautiful sunset and ofcourse, with the help of my cellphone camera, I captured these moments. :)

This is also my entry for this week's Skywatch Friday. I know it's kinda late because I just came from our overnight swimming, yeah, we went back here. LOLx. I am also thankful that my site is okay now, I was so frustrated the other day because my blog just kept on failing to stayed on for over a second. Yeah, Anney was right, maybe there's just some problems with blogger and now, everythings okay. (Thanks Anney!) .

If you want to see more of these skywatch posts. Just click the link here.

Have a nice and blessed weekend everyone! Happy Skywatching!

Brigada Eskwela and Interesting Blog Award

Okay, now it's time to say goodbye to summer vacation (sigh!) because in two weeks time, school is opening again! According to DepEd, the opening of the school year will be on June 1 (well as for private schools, it depends on the administration). Last Monday, Brigada Eskwela, the annual program of DepEd was already started and as for our school, it started last May 18 up to 22 or by next week. We started cleaning the rooms and preparing it for the school opening next next week. I hope classrooms will all be ready come June first.

Skywatch 18 - Morning Sunshine

As of this writing, I can see the sun beginning to peek from the cloudy sky. Well, yesterday a storm named "Emong" was in the Philippine's area of responsibility (actually, the news says that there is a possibility that the storm will still be here until Monday or Tuesday. I just hope that "Emong" will decide to stay away from our country. And with less or without casualties or noone harmed from this natural calamity.
Well, I am positive about this because the sun says it all. And I love to see the sun light here in my window. Have a nice morning everyone! :)
This picture is still from our Isabela Trip. I love the clouds here, match with the green fields below. And yes, it is the original photo, I didn't edit it what so ever.
You can see a lot more of these photos here at Skywatch Friday. :)

Villa Escudero Trip: The View

Last April 23, me and my co-teachers in our school, along with all the teachers in our district had our so-called field trip at Villa Escudero in San Pablo City, Laguna (and it's on the boarder of Tiaong, Quezon). I thought that it's a long drive but it's just a two-hour drive from where we are in Cavite. Honestly, I was not as excited for this trip as when we first knew that we are going to Villa Escudero, because we just came from our Isabela vacation and I was having a sort of jet lag (LOLx. nope, I'm just too tired to make "gala"..). So, here are some of the photos from our trip, later I will posts OUR pictures! (hahaha!)
( the monument of the owner of this hacienda.. )

(the "chandelier" from the main lobby of the resort)

Lake Labasin
( well, I didn't ride on the "balsa"... duwag din mga kasama ko eh!)
the church museum..
(photos are not allowed inside.. "sayang!")

the carabao ride
(there's even a "manghaharana" at the back.. pinoy na pinoy ang dating. *_*)
(kawawang kalabaw.... tsk tsk..)

(o diba, may airplane pa!) :)

(the view of the Villa and the mountain at the back)

(some of the unique statues in the resort..)

(greener than green.. haha!)

(on our way to the pool.. but didn't swim there..
bawal pala ang di-nakaswimsuit! nag-tiyaga na lang sa falls! haha!)
That's it. Have a blessed day everyone! :)

Isabela

I just want to share some of the photos that I got from my 4-day stay in Isabela (well, except for the 2 days journey, back and forth). I also have photos wherein we had to cross the Cagayan River just to be able to go to the town proper. But I've been saving those shots for the Skywatch Friday. "__"

Here are some of the "weird" photos that I got. The first photo, looks like the head of a frog with its eyes bulging up. I love the second one, the tree at the center seems to have a face. And the third, well, just plain ordinary but still, a hint from this place. :)

I shot the photo below on our way to the house of the groom where the wedding took place. It was a Christian Wedding actually. I love the mountain view ahead of us and of course, the used to be corn field (I didn't know why they burned the corns, maybe to get ready for the next corn planting.. not sure about that though.. )

And due to insistent public demand (charing! LOLx.), here are some of our pix from the wedding. Well, I just picked some of those that are bearable (hahaha! antaba ko na kasi talaga!)

Skywatch 17 - Sunrise at Isabela

I've been to Isabela last Saturday, April 18 up to Tuesday but we left Cavite last Friday. Well, just to let you know, it took 11 hours just to get there (from Cubao terminal). I went to Isabela because it's the wedding of the sister of my friend's boyfriend (get it?) and my friend was one of the secondary sponsors. So, yes, I was the chaperone of my friend (hahaha!) And because one of the "abays" was not able to go.. I replaced her instead. (yeah, instant "abay" haha! di pa naman ako nakapg-diet! LOLx.)

So, the photo above is my post for this week's Skywatch Friday. I just want to share with you the sunrise straight from Isabela. I took that shot so early in the morning. Well, upon waking up and we got there at around 8 in the morning. :)

You can also see a lot of Skywatch post around the globe here. Happy Skywatch Friday everyone! ;)

sOME OF mY fAVORITE bOOKS

I already told before that I like to read.. infact, I loved to read! Here are just some of the books that I like and didn't mind to read over and over again...

(currently reading...)
I remembered that I even posted something about comparing the Twilight Saga to the Harry Potter Series, I even commented that I will not trade my being a Potter fanatic to a vampire! But hey, what happened here?! (haha!) Maybe, I also got the virus and sticked to the same madness that came over to those people who are addicted to the Twilight Series.. (and I don't care a bit! haha!) I am currently reading Eclipse. Well, as of the moment.. I am still at page 321.. so, I still have half of the novel to read! I can't wait to finished it! And of course, the upcoming movie after Twilight.. (New MOon!) Can't wait... :)
(the fourth and last book.. well, I hope not!)
Actually, I already start reading the book but haven't finished it because I already bought Eclipse (I first had Twilight and then New moon and Breaking Dawn.. well, at that time, Eclipse is not yet available) The bad thing about skipping Eclipse is that I got clueless on what's going on.. I even read about Edward and Bella's wedding without understanding anything about their conversation! (ahaha!) I hope to finish Eclipse first so that I can continue with Breaking Dawn.. (woot!) :)
I loved this guy! Although, Macarthur is somewhat different from his previous work, it still has the taste of Bob Ong.. But I must say that this book is really way serious and but still realistic just like his other books. His other books are ABNKKBSNPLAKO, Bakit Baligtad Magbasa ng Libro ang mga Pilipino, Paboritong Libro ni Hudas, Alamat ng Gubat at Stainless Longganisa. :)
by Vince O. Teves
(the sequel)
Vince's Life is one of the first novel that I read from the Summit Books. And I already loved it just after reading the first chapter! Imagine, reading a novel from a guy's perspective! (haha!) And Of course, the most anticipated (well, for me!) sequel to that which is The Next Chapter: Getting Over Andrea. The good thing about it is that it is realistic in a way that it will not give you a false hope about relationship and all that. I really really loved it! :)
Just like what my title for this post says, "some of my favorite books".. so, that's only some from the many of those books that captured my heart and interest. Of course, part of those is Harry Potter (how can I forget that!) :)
Well, I'll be out of town a little later.. just a few hours from now. I'll be going to somewhere north.. But I'll be back maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. (Yeah, I will miss surfing the net! hahaha!) So, till then! Ciao! :)
